MAPP-DEMO

Following a pirates' attack, onboard communication equipments are destroyed: the vessel’s track is lost, the research area grows as time passes, making it harder to deploy rescue assets efficiently.

The challenge is to answer to the question: “Where is my ship?”

The ‘Keep in sight’ service combines a hidden tracker installed onboard and EO acquisitions to provide this critical information.

INTOGENER

RTICM

LuxSpace (LU), in cooperation with the project partners arviem (CH), OHB teledata (D) and megatel (D), develop an innovative container/cargo monitoring device which offers cargo localisation and condition monitoring capabilities via a wireless sensor network and reporting using satellite communication means and AIS (Automatic Identification System) data.

Apart from the technical development, a comprehensive customer tailored real time cargo monitoring service is offered, including analytics and operational support.

SATForM 3D

A tremendous opportunity exists for the global forest industry to capture the combined benefits of cutting edge technologies in the areas of satellite remote sensing technology, ground forest measurement, data analytics and cloud computing. The goal of the SATForM 3D project has been to design and develop a web-based application -Forest Mapper- integrating different satellite Earth Observation (EO) and aerial LiDAR with an innovative ground-based Terrestrial Laser Scanning (TLS) forest measurement technique and data analytics, to provide better management and more efficient utilisation of our global forest resources.

The project had the support of the main forest owners and forest managers in Ireland, who have collaborated in defining and validating the Forest Mapper features so that it now provides an innovative solution to their current needs. 

KABALIST

The project aims to provide reliable and efficient TV signals collection and distribution through High Throughput Satellite utilizing innovative dynamic coding, dynamic bandwidth assignment and full IP solutions. The current application scenario is Italian Lega Pro football championship played in 60 sites distributed all over Italy while future application will include other sports, live events, etc.

InsureApp Service - The hazard control room for the insurance Industry

The objective of this demonstration project is designing, developing and pre-operating a web-based platform for improving the efficiency of insurance claim management with focus on weather-related hazards. The key service offered to the insurance companies is the Flood Claim Report Generator which will automatically generate reports for specific flood or rainfall events based on the best available information.

Eagle Space

Eagle Space aims at the integration of space based capabilities in crisis management to support the joint combat of natural flooding and wildfire disasters.  The proposed concept is based on realising a harmonised awareness of the disaster area and emergency operations between the various emergency entities in different regions with own working cultures.
